chicken soup and biscuits

Today was a quick turn from preparing for Easter to take care of some sick family. We moved to California a few years ago when our daughters married, moved and had grandchildren. One of the reasons for being here is so we are able to "be here" for them when they needed us. Well today was one of those days. I know too well how hard it is to care for the family when you are under the weather yourself. So today I made chicken soup and biscuits and will be delivering it to my daughter and her husband, hopefully they will be feeling well enough to eat some. My little granddaughter is here (sound asleep) and has been since yesterday and will be here until they are better. She has been such fun to have, she loves Barney, loves to play outside, and loves to shop. While she is napping I have managed to put together a "bunny bread" for Easter. One thing at a time to check of the long list, we are getting there. I am sure that when my other two grandchildren arrive later today to spend the holiday weekend, they will be surprised to see the bunny bread all cooked and waiting for them. Life is too short to not enjoy all of the little joys in life that the family has to offer! I am looking forward to spending time with the "kiddos", young and old, coloring eggs, preparing food and enjoying the company. A busy weekend for sure leading up to Easter Sunday, with a sunrise service, Easter Breakfast, church with special music by the family, Easter Dinner and an Easter Egg hunt! Wow, a full weekend of LOVE! Enjoy your day! ~ Sara
